FAQs
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or like something isn't working in your life — that's enough. Therapy is for anyone who wants support, clarity, or a space to better understand themselves.
How do I choose the right therapist?
The most important factor is fit — feeling safe, heard, and understood. We have a number of clinicians in our office, and we'll work with you to find the right match. If at any point the relationship doesn't feel like the right fit, we'll recommend another clinician within our office or connect you with a trusted counseling practice we feel would be a good match for you.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
Your first session is a conversation. Your therapist will ask about what brought you in, your history, and what you're hoping to work on. There's no pressure to share more than you're ready to. It's also a chance for you to ask questions and decide if this feels like the right fit.
Do you offer in-person and online therapy?
Yes. We offer both in-person sessions and secure telehealth appointments. Online therapy is just as effective as in-person for most concerns and offers added flexibility for people with busy schedules or limited access to local care. Some of our clinicians offer walk and talk options as appropriate.
Do you use a specific type of therapy?
Our therapists draw from a range of evidence-based approaches — including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic therapy, trauma-focused care, and mindfulness-based methods. Every treatment plan is tailored to what works best for you as an individual.

Yes. We currently offer three groups:
Healthy Boundaries Group — for people who struggle with saying no, people-pleasing, and guilt around their own needs.
Trauma Sensitive Yoga Group — a body-based group that integrates gentle yoga with trauma-informed principles to support nervous system healing.
Nutrition and Mindbody Movement Group — exploring the connection between food, movement, and overall wellbeing.
-
Yes. We work with athletes, coaches and parents on the mental side of performance — confidence, focus, managing pressure, and recovering from setbacks. Our sport performance services are available to athletes at all levels in the Rock Springs and Green River area.
-
We take a whole-person approach to mental health care. Our therapists are trained in a wide range of evidence-based modalities, so treatment is tailored to you — not a one-size-fits-all model.
What sets us apart is the team around our therapists. In addition to counseling, you have access to:
A Registered Dietitian to support the connection between nutrition and mental wellness
A Clinical Exercise Physiologist to help improve physical health behaviors that directly impact mood, anxiety, and overall wellbeing
Two Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners for medication evaluation, management, and coordination with your therapy care
Whether you need one service or all of them, we can coordinate your care under one roof.
-
Both can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication. Psychiatrists hold a medical degree (MD or DO), while psychiatric nurse practitioners hold an advanced nursing degree (MSN or DNP) with a specialty in psychiatry. In practice, PMHNPs provide the same core services — evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management — and are widely recognized as highly effective prescribers, particularly for anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and mood disorders.
-
No, therapy is not required to see our psychiatric NPs. However, research consistently shows that a combination of therapy and medication is more effective than either alone for most conditions. Our team can work with you on what makes sense for your situation.
-
Our psychiatric nurse practitioners evaluate and prescribe for a wide range of conditions including:
Anxiety disorders
Depression
ADHD / Attention Deficit Disorder
Bipolar disorder
PTSD and trauma-related conditions
Mood disorders
Emotional dysregulation
Obesity/Diabetes/Weight Management (GLP-1s)
