MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix (2021)
Certified Independent Living Specialist from the Daniel Memorial Institute
Certified Reducing the Risk and Making Proud Choices Facilitator for youth 12-18yrs
​Certified Healthy Relationship Facilitator for youth 13-18yrs.
Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), is working on Certification
April has training in trauma informed care and utilizes a collaborative and compassionate approach to counseling in an effort to foster hope, healing, and resilience. She enjoys helping others while using strength-based approaches and integrating various treatment therapies to best meet the needs and goals of her clients. She provides emotional support and guidance to adults, adolescents, couples, and children. She aims to empower her clients to create space, balance, time, and strength to process and embrace their needs. She has been working with youth in the foster care and juvenile justice system for 20 years and is currently the Independent Living Coordinator for Sweetwater County for youth 14 to 21 yrs. old. She offers counseling for adolescents and adults, both virtually and in person.

Lexy’s main focus is concentrating on the client’s overall well-being, while working on the preservation and restoration of the client’s mental health. It is Lexy's top priority to provide a safe space where clients feel they can be their authentic self. To remind you that you are not broken, and you matter. Your feelings are valid, your story matters, and you are capable of being the best version of you. Lexy uses a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Psyco-Education in her work with her clients. "Always remember to be kind to your mind."

MA in Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University (2022)
"I enjoy working with individuals from all age groups and backgrounds.  I also work with families and individuals suffering from autism spectrum disorder and ADHD.  I love helping families and individuals work towards healthier relationships and often require parent involvement in their child's therapy experience.  I work from a strength-based approach that is eclectic.  I have experience working with trauma, behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, autism, and ADHD."
